Spray PUF Insulation
Rigid closed-cell polyurethane foam sprayed directly onto surfaces, creating seamless thermal barriers for cold stores, roofs, and industrial facilities.
Spray PUF (Polyurethane Foam) insulation is a closed-cell, rigid foam applied directly to building substrates: roofs, walls, soffits, and structural steel, using high-pressure spray equipment.
It is the most thermally efficient insulation system commercially available.
Performance Data
Thermal conductivity: 0.020-0.023 W/mK (closed cell). R-value: ~6.5 per inch (compared to ~3.5 for mineral wool). Water absorption: less than 2% by volume. Compressive strength: 150-200 kPa. Service temperature range: -200 to +100 degrees Celsius.
Advantages Over Board Insulation
Board insulation (EPS, XPS, mineral wool) requires mechanical fastening, has joints between boards, and cannot conform to irregular surfaces. Every joint is a thermal bridge. Every fastener is a thermal bridge.
Spray PUF has none. It is applied as a continuous, monolithic layer that conforms to any profile: curved surfaces, penetrations, structural connections, corrugated decks.
Application Process
Surface preparation, primer on metal substrates, spray application in 25-30mm passes, density and thickness verification, protective coating (UV-resistant or fire-rated where required).
We monitor ambient temperature, substrate temperature, and component temperatures throughout application. The chemistry is temperature-sensitive. Incorrect application temperatures produce poor cell structure and reduced thermal performance.
Sectors
Cold storage and refrigerated warehouses. Industrial manufacturing facilities. Commercial buildings. Pharmaceutical clean rooms. Food processing plants. Any building where thermal performance directly impacts operating cost or regulatory compliance.
